Just found out I'm going to be a Grandpa!

My oldest son, 22, got married in December and he and his wife, also 22 (no pics), came over and told us that they are expecting! She is 6 weeks along, man they didn't waste any time, I told him they need to do a lot of practicing before they have a kid but that must have gone in one ear and out the other. 
I'm excited and super happy for them and selfishly for me too!

Congrats. You will do things and buy things for that child that you never would have done with your own kids. A grandchild is a total joy and your job is to spoil him/her as often as possible.

Dude! Congrats! I have a 2 year old grand daughter and our first grandson is due in June. We had all girls, so having a boy in the family is going to be a new experience. There is nothing I wouldn’t do for our sweet granddaughter so prepare to be wrapped around this child’s finger!! It’s amazing!!

I have a 1 year old and 4 year old girls I talk to daily. Video chat with them every day, its the highlight of my day.

Hardest part of me being a paw paw is my grandson is 11 hours away in one direction and my granddaughter is 7 hours the other direction.
Damn me for raising independent children and not conditioning them to need to live close to me.
