It was close, but rest assured, we'll be getting MORE Hobbits, Dwarves and Elves of color!

For those that don't watch youtube videos of people talking to you about something you can read for yourself:
https://www.cbr.com/the-rings-of-power-season-3-renewed-time-jump/
https://www.cbr.com/the-rings-of-power-season-3-renewed-time-jump/
quote:
it's been reported that a major time jump will happen with Season 3, picking up with Sauron creating the One Ring. The logline for the season reads, "Jumping forward several years from the events of Season 2, Season 3 takes place at the height of the War of the Elves and Sauron, as the Dark Lord seeks to craft the One Ring that will give him the edge he needs to win the war and conquer all Middle-earth at last.”
Directors have been revealed for Season 3 as well. They include Charlotte Brändström (Shogun), who's returning after helming episodes for the previous seasons, as well as Sanaa Hamri (The Wheel of Time), who helmed three Season 2 episodes. Stefan Schwartz (The Boys, The Walking Dead) has also come on board for Season 3.

Vid's less than 5 minutes, but sure, whatever.
Missing in your shill link is commentary on the shrinking viewership from S1 to S2, incoherent plot lines and get ready for a time jump from the end of S2 to the start of S3!

Some of us just want the facts and not opinions (of varying degrees of authority, sincerity, and intelligence) interjected into everything.

So it's fine as long as the commentary is negative. If the commentary is positive, its shilling. Got it.

You claim to want facts from Amazon? The folks who have evicserated Tolkien's work over someone like JSG?
Sure Jan.
Sure Jan.

It's fine if the commentary is coming from a place of knowledge and respectfulness.
JSG knows more about Tolkien than most. The writer for your shill website? Mostly just jacked his views from another site, while he is himself?
Jeremy Dick
Expertise - Horror, Breaking Bad, The Simpsons
Hmmm...

I mean we're just getting facts that a season was renewed. There isn't some conspiracy at hand or any need to go deeper than that.

Just don't watch it.
I have personally watched none of this show because I don't think I'd like it and don't seek content to make me outraged.
I do know now that a season 3 will occur that I won't watch.

No one said anything about any conspiracy. Weird that you'd even bring that into the conversation.
And it's objectively clear that the writers & showrunners have no clue what they're doing. This is the most expensive ongoing joke on TV history. but it looks good on you.

Not defending SEK
But CBR is a Disney shill, and a longtime left-wing woke-scold. Owned by the same company that owns ScreenRant.
That said, the link you posted just seems to be straight reporting

I know of and have watched nothing regarding The Wheel of Time. Those who do hate the version on Netflix. Similar to The Witcher. Though I did see S1 and the animated series, the same vibe I get from those who were real fans before is the horrible treatment it's received by those who have no love or interest in respecting the source material.
I have some empathy, but no real dog in those fights. I get the sentiment, but I'm not posting thread after thread over Witcher, WoT, Willow, etc...
I will for Tolkien though. So spare you efforts in telling me to "just don't watch".

For those that don't watch youtube videos of people talking to you about something you can read for yourself:
Absolutely one of my least favorite things these days. When something happens now, it's often hard to just simply find the video/clip of what happened and watch it. Instead every video is someone talking onscreen and explaining to me what happens throughout the whole fricking thing. I don't need to be guided through video clips, I just want to watch what happened.
I guess it's all about people wanting to "create content" rather than simply providing the desired output (i.e. the raw video clip). So fricking annoying.

The ending of S2 is why I won't watch 3
Soo dumb, just soooooooo dumb

There's often more to the story than just the 'raw content'. If you're willing to take everything at face value, then I don't know what to tell you.

Correct
That and relying on curated X clips are killing online discussions

I'm not talking about your link specifically...I didn't click on it.
I am talking about the new trend of people walking you through videos for "clicks, likes, and subscribes."
If I want to watch a video clip of something that happened, I don't really need much context outside of what happens in the video. If I do then I can seek out articles or whatever. But I don't need some autistic youtuber to help guide me through what is an easily-digestible video.
Obviously if the video is more about information than an actual event/happening, it's a bit different.
