Imagine getting your feelings hurt over someone giving you the middle finger and then trying to charge them with interfering with an investigation. The guy will now sue the city and the taxpayers will be on the hook again for the payout. All cops know that the courts have ruled multiple times that the middle finger is free speech. This cop should be criminally charged for filing a false police report.

It amazes me that cities pay these costs and instead don't seek a settlement where they simply agree to fire the officer or even prosecute the officer in some way for misconduct. Also, the DOJ would end this pretty fast with litigation (civil and criminal) for violation of rights under color of law. But, they won't do that.

There are no good people in this story. The slob sure was mad he couldn’t get into the drive-thru lane to place his order.

The restaurant should have been the one bitching at the police for essentially shutting their business while the cops laughed at a sex toy.

It pisses me off so much that these cops can get away with behavior like this. Abuse of power because his feels got hurted.

However, the pay out that baw is expecting won’t be much over a mere ticket. Now had he been arrested that would be a different convo.

Yep. The judge should be reprimanded by the state Supreme Court as well. He is only the arbiter of what is or isn't lawful and Constitutional. Making personal remarks was uncalled for. The First Amendment was designed to protect the worst of speech. The cop is the one the judge should have ridiculed if he thought any side remarks were necessary.

Almost happened to me. Guy pulled my buddy over to harass him because he was driving with his dirt bike in the back. I passed by and shot the bird to the officer.
He tried to follow me and threatened arrest but knew he couldn’t. Tried to bait me into swinging on him.

I was way more outraged when I thought he was brought to jail only to learn he got a ticket. I got a camera speeding ticket when schools were closed

At one time I was 100% back the blue. 2 things have happened to make me change my mind.

1. Got a speeding ticket, which I deserved. But he wrote a seatbelt ticket as well which was BS. I paid the speeding but told them I wanted to challenge the seatbelt ticket. The judge dismissed seatbelt ticket.

2. Hired a cop to train my dog. He did not hold up his end of the agreement. I’ve tried for 3 months to get a partial refund. I just had to send him a certified letter letting him know if I do not get my refund by a certain date I will pursue litigation.

Dex, if you want to really get pissed Google the "Kansas Two-Step".

Then Google how many cops fake DUI results to collect $$$$.

Hint: it's a lot.

Then, take a look at the cop that was letting drunk drivers go for money, then got hit and injured by, you guessed it, a drunk driver.
