Why is a vessel that size even close to an aircraft carrier to begin with.

Our military is clearly lacking in training.

These events are happening too frequently.

Why is the captain of an aircraft carrier getting that close to a ship that could be loaded with an explosive device. That Captain's career just nosedived real quick.

DEI promotions/appointments.

Also, these things have curious timing. This seems like a planned incident. This type of thing doesn't happen by accident, nor without careful coordination.

The collision occurred between the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman (CVN 75) and the merchant vessel Besiktas-M, according to U.S. Navy Cmdr. Timothy Gorman, a spokesperson for the U.S. Sixth Fleet.

The ships collided in the vicinity of Port Said, Egypt, at approximately 11:46 p.m. local time, Gorman said. There were no reported injuries or flooding on the Navy aircraft carrier and its propulsion plants “are unaffected and in a safe and stable condition,” Gorman said. LINK

The captain may get fricked on this but the crew on the bridge may be responsible.

There have been problems with USN personnel not knowing how to program the ship correctly which caused previous incidents.
