In our town we have a moderate/liberal Presbyterian church and a MAGA/conservative Presbyterian church. The MAGA Presbyterian church is much larger.

I’m a PCA member. The PCA is fairly conservative but has had some liberal creep in in the past five years.

The PCA is the conservative wing of the 1973 split. It is divided into Presbyteries. There are a half dozen or so liberal presbyteries that like to cause problems.

The main thing the liberals in the denomination are trying to push is getting ordained women. They aren’t close but they are getting closer every year. Of course once you get unbiblical women pastors, everything else follows quickly.

From my observations, the liberal creep seems usually tied to a sincere desire to love people who don’t look like what you’d expect a PCA congregant to look like. And then they get all nervous about being well-off.

But good, standup people in the main.
