This is the time of year I’m paying attention to rankings and possible seeding.
How the hell is Arizona ranked 13th with 7 losses? They are the definition of mid

All of the advanced metrics love them for whatever reason.

They beat Iowa State when they were #2 or 3 in the country to get a big boost and have since beaten Texas Tech.
Mid might be a little harsh. they aren't consistent but they are good enough to play with anyone on any given day

They are on a hot streak, voters tend to go with the hot team plus it’s a big name team. They were 13-1 in the last 14 games before last nights game.

Every one of their losses is a quad 1 loss. 7-7 in quad 1 games. 2-0 Q2, 4-0 Q3, and 4-0 Q4.

Well, that was from week 15.
They moved up 7 spots after beating #13 Texas Tech.
They’ll clearly drop next week after losing to unranked K-state

Kansas State had an atrocious start at 7-11, but they have won 6 straight to include 3 ranked wins in that stretch to include a blowout at Iowa State.
The tournament is not off the table for them if they continue.
Arizona had a pretty lousy go in OOC, but have done well in conference play.
Yeah, I know the big 12 is down.
