Because they have to get the stories straight and figure out exactly what they're going with. This isn't a release of documents or files as they are. It is filtered through this group of people, and as a result it will just lead to people still questioning everything.

Why are they doing this, Kash says he is releasing the JFK files day one. Seems like they are trying to get ahead of Kash and control the info.
