I’m pretty sure my house was built with the help of illegals. I can be honest, I’m also part of the problem

However, at least they are working their arse off, and not roaming the streets terrorizing neighborhoods like a lot of the Venezuelan and Central American gangs.

Let’s slow our roll.

Education for people like you…. Don’t hire illegals. I’m sure, unless you’re paying them in cash, you have to vet them in order to be covered on insurance. He’s full of it.

It’s just these greedy contractors who hates paying payroll taxes and giving benefits so they hire illegals and addicted to afford their 5th property and 140k truck

You think new construction and manual labor is overpriced now? You will be begging for illegal aliens to come back.

Why are they starting with these workers? Why aren’t they focusing on gangs and criminals? Why aren’t they checking trump’s properties for illegals? Damn, they’re going after the productive ones. This is stupid, but what do you expect…

The Mexicans in North Dallas work seven days a week daylight to dark rain sleet or snow, no holiday breaks.

They can go from a concrete slab to putting decking on the roof in a week.

The contractors are going to be shitting themselves trying to find legal replacements

$30K roof job with materials being $6-7k (being generous) tells me illegals haven't lowered the price of a roof.

*It was a difficult job, Victorian with witches hat, but come on... This was before Covid btw.

Employers that hire illegal aliens should be subject to hefty fines, jail time on the second offense.

interesting point.

we’ve let in somewhere between 15-20 million illegals in the last 4 years. why aren’t we seeing the savings on manual labor yet? what has gotten cheaper since they’ve arrived?

and what are the associated costs of bringing them here?
VS the lack of savings we are seeing by bringing them here to put up sheetrock and pick berries?

Isn’t it illegal to hire illegal immigrants?

Illegal immigration would end overnight. That’s how you know politicians don’t really want it to end. Gotta save $$$ on nannies so they can afford the payment on little hunter’s rehab.

My mom bought my childhood home in 1995 for 60k. It was a 3 bed room with a garage in a good neighborhood.

With inflation that’s 126k

The house is now worth 225k and the area is now crime ridden .

I’m not seeing these benefits of a cheap work force

I mean right now they’re supposedly going around trying to find people with specific crimes. Now granted they’re picking up some collateral damage so to speak, but I don’t think we’re really gonna make a big dent in the 30 million that are already here. At least not enough to actually change prices.
