Does this at least end the Reid-Belichick debate for good?

Belichick never lost two Super Bowl by three scores. The greatest there ever was and the greatest there ever will be, William Stephen Belichick.

What debate? Bill had a losing record across 180+ games as a HC without Brady as his starting QB.

Only one person has ever lost to Eli in a Super Bowl and Bill did it twice

Andy Reid has been successful no matter who was playing QB . (McNabb, Kolb , Vick, Alex Smith, Mahomes)

Belichick was only good with Brady.

That's gonna be the forever narrative.

Whether you like it or not. Eagles just had better players across the board. This loss is not remotely in the same stratosphere as 2007 Patriots losing to 10-6 Giants.

Only one of those won him a Super Bowl

Who was Bill's second best QB he coached as a starter?

That's a little deceiving though. Reid took the Eagles to the playoffs 9 times, making it to the NFC title game 5 times, and making it to the Suberbowl once.

Belicheck had a losing record post Brady.

Belicheck is the more accomplished coach IMO though. As others have said, Brady was just a piece for the first 3 and football is the ultimate team game. Belicheck put those teams together.

They are both amazing head coaches.

Anybody buying into the “Brady carried Bill” narrative is an idiot

But he found, played, and developed Brady. It’s not like Brady was born as the GOAT. Bill built teams around his strengths and even when the team wasn’t fully established to help Brady shine, he found ways to win.

Every single great coach has been great because they had a top notch quarterback. That’s is part of being a great coach. It’s not a slight.

First 3 super bowls Brady was a complimentary piece playing with great defenses. Brady never ranked higher than 6th in any major passing stat and he only accomplished this in 2 separate categories, during different seasons one time each during that span.

1994 went 11-5 with Vinny Testaverde
2008 went 11-5 with Matt Cassels
2021 went 10-7 with Mac Jones

Reid has only won SBs with Mahomes

Joe Gibbs won 3 SBs with 3 different QBs (none of them are in the HOF).

Look up Bill’s defensive rankings. Incredible consistency. Worst the patriots ever fared in defense under him was 17th in scoring defense
