Looking for a specific year and model Tahoe. Best place to search? Would it be something like autotrader or cars.com? Or is there a better website to use?

Those are pretty good.
There's also auction sites like Hemmings, Bring A Trailer, and Cars And Bids.
BAT has the largest quantity on offer.
- Forgot to mention Autolist.com, which is more in line with what you're asking for.

Cars.com, cargurus, autotrader will cover the majority of available cars. Use them or the dealership's website to look at the carfax or maintenance report.

Perfect answer.
OP, you can use the filters to drive down to specific yr/color/options.
Just make your search radius "unlimited ".

Auto trader > Cargurus
A car will sell at a dealership and cargurus will leave there ad up for three plus months saying the car is still available

I guess I should have noted that this is a 2003 model that I’m looking for. Are these still the best sites for 20+ year old models?

You can still use them for that, but seek a a car-specific forum for something that old.
Look at the F/S section of that site.
Also, Hemmings is good for older stuff.

Carmax is what I've used. The price is the price, no haggle or pressure.

Do a Google search for "Tahoe owners" or Chevy truck owners.
That will be car-specific forum for just those vehicles. They'll usually have a for sale section somewhere in there.
