Well, my season probably starts tomorrow. The wind forecast has me worried, but I think if I put in near my areas I can limp around enough to fill a day. This trip will be bass first, which I have rarely done in the last decade. Trap, Vision 110, Chatter, and weightless plastic all pre-tied and ready to go.

I used Trap as a generic term. I have a few different brands/models on deck anytime I am there in Jan/Feb.

Good luck, there’s 250 high school anglers here tomorrow and 240 on Sunday.

Tomorrow is a “trailer” tournament due to wind.

The wind on my back porch right now(4:22) has me considering Cane River instead.

Fish around quiet cove Wednesday, from 10-5, Caught over 20 with 13 keepers, biggest 17". California 420 lizard, Texas rigged, they seemed to be around the 4-6' depth. Half had eggs with some ready to bust. Fished Sam Rayburn, caught 13, 3 keepers. One had eggs.

Yep, wind kicking on the lake. That’s why they made this a trailer tournament.

Thankfully I’m snuggled in bed still, wife and I may go out a lil later and fish around in some protected coves close to camp.

Six Mile and Sandy had plenty places to stay out of the wind. Threw a variety of lures. small soft plastic creatures like ultravibe craw and 4" lizard on 1/8-ounce lead Texas seemed to be the hottest. Trap and Chatter bite wasn't consistent in that wind. Stayed in less than 12ft of water all day. Banks were around 60-62 degrees in a couple spots but no real action up there yet. Biggest fish almost 5lbs probably boated low 30's kept our 16, dropped on some white perch for about an hour with very little luck and went home around 12:30

I started at the intersection. Amazing amount of grass there. I could not stay on my favorite humps with comfort, so I went shallow. I did not get a bite shallow and never saw a fish caught.
