Don't have a link. Saw it on the Fox app. Jared Allen, Sterling Sharp and Antonio Gates round out the class

They brought Drew and Gleason out for the Man of the Year award just to not give Cam shite. NFL continues to taunt us.

It's Sterling Sharpe, Shannon has been in for years.

I was hoping Jarhi Evans would have made it.

Eric Allen was not very good for the time that he was a Saint. He was very good as an Eagle and pretty good as a Raider, after the Saints. He didn't have his best years in Black & Gold.

Sterling Sharpe as a HoF? He was really good when he played and I know his career was cut short but HoF??? I don't think he had HoF numbers. Class is very weak compared to others.

This class belongs in the Hall of Very Good. As Deion said years ago, they need to create a separate room for those that really belong in the HoF and let the HoVG have their own area.

Agreed, very weak class overall. Sterling would have been HOF worthy but his career was cut short, if you're gonna open that door there's hundreds of guys that you owe it to now.

Agreed. I texted my dad the same thing last night when it was announced. Worst HOF class I can remember.

I met Eric Allen in Tempe. He's a former Sun Devil. Class act guy.

I actually love that Sterling got him. One of the best HOF moments of all time was Shannon saying "im the only member of the HOF thats the 2nd best player in his own house" and the cut to his crying brother. The love and respect he has for his brother is awesome and im glad he got his recognition for that alone.

Jared Allen is a good, and if we want Cam to make it eventually, its good for guys like that to get in. Gates is a top 5 TE all time.

Eric Allen....whatever....good on you. Not gonna hate on a former saint getting in.

Antonio Gates absolutely should get in.

If Jared Allen is a HOFer, Cam Jordan should get in. But there is about to be a real log jam of great DEs to work through between Von Miller, JJ Watt, Calais Campbell, Chandler Jones, Aaron Donald, Terrell Suggs, Khalil Mack,

John Abraham, Simeon Rice, and Robert Mathis are the real "Cam Jordan" tests.

Honestly for Cam, we will learn if "can you sack" is a single test for a DE or if HOF voters understand run defense.

There is a chance that Jordan gets into the top 5 for TFLs all time (since 1999)

That's a pretty slim chance. Needs 15 to jump over Julius while also outpacing Lavonte (9 ahead of him), and Von (11 ahead). He had 10 combined over the past 2 years and his snap count number will probably stay around 50% these next few years.

But top 10 TFL, top 20 in official sacks (probably around 25 on unofficial list), 1 All-Pro, 2 2nd team All-Pro, his off-field acknowledgements... should equate to an eventual HoF nod (at least not his first 5 years of eligibility)

When Eric Allen was a Saint he was definitely on the back side of his career but still was our best corner.

A game against San Fran where Jerry Rice needed 3 receptions to break the NFL receptions record and Allen was tasked to guarding Rice. Rice was targeted all game but wound up with exactly 3 receptions which he didn't get until late in the 4th quarter. Allen did a helluva job guarding Rice the entire game.
