Duck Hunts opening weekend vs. last weekend?

To all the duck hunters out there, how do you compare your opening weekend hunts to the last weekend of the season? Which weekend was more successful for you in your area?

we rarely have birds in the early season and this year was no different. Luckily I duck and deer hunt at the same place so I can just hunt something else till the birds show up. Wish they'd roll the season back a few weeks.

I hunt in Terrebonne parish. Opening weekend was better for sure.

Opening was better but that's still not saying much.
Opening weekend = saw maybe 40 birds total
Closing weekend = saw maybe 20 birds total
As already mentioned, first split is usually just sit and tell lies to each other.

opening, we scratched. no ducks at all. The last 2 weekends we smashed the greys and wood ducks. even killed a mallard

Yeah, we hunt Avoyelles/Rapides border, opening weekend wasn't bad, limits took longer than normal. Closing weekend had lots of wary ducks, blue bird skys, and cool temps, still managed a few teal, gadwalls, & mallards...

Whole season in Georgia was arse. I have 3 swamps on our land only one had water this season.
Highlight of my season was shooting a drake shoveler off our farm pond. Rare duck for middle ga.

Opening Weekend = didn't fire a shot

Opening weekend I had my limit of pintails both days, added 2 teal on Sunday. Now I could have melted my barrel on pintails first hunt, but I was trying to improve LA hunters reputation. But I digress.
Closing weekend Friday sucked, ice was terrible and wind was shifting. Saturday was TS force winds, but it kept hole open, smoked them. Sunday, 19 and dead calm, had to hunt all day. Mostly GW teal and wigeon, mallards for the most part left when the shallow stuff froze up.

Didn't limit out opening weekend but killed a few. Didn't see anything last weekend. Only killed three ducks the last two splits.
