What the hell is that list?

On a related note, I would love to see the average receipt at the top steakhouses next week.

Doesn't appear they like much, if anything, in the FQ.

Bacchanal is very popular. Urban South is probably the best brewery in NOLA. Barracuda should be known since they brought a location to BR. Friend of mine just went to Miss Shirley's the other day and it looked great. I've heard good things about Central City BBQ but never been. The Children's Museum is supposed to be fun.

I don't know what kind of list you were expecting. It's definitely not a supreme fine dining list that includes Bon Ton/Commander's Palaces/Emeril's/etc.

This list is shite, probably not compiled by a local.

With that said, most visitors won't know the difference either way

Hopefully, people coming do better research on their own. I could think of so many places that should be on that list for folks who want to try Louisiana foods and seafood.

Peche
Cochon
Butcher
Mr. B's
Drago's for chargrilled oysters
Ye Olde College Inn

Just a few that are not the fine dining referenced, but darn good with representative dishes.

US Is not even close to the best brewery in Nola. I’d put Parleux at #1

CCBBQ is not good.

Where are the steak houses and pizza places?

Peche, must have when visiting New Orleans. Maybe I'm trashy but I love Deanie's and also Johnny's, both in the Quarter.

I don't know when the list was published but if it was at all recently there would be no use listing the top fine dining restaurants since they would all likely be booked solid for SB weekend and would have been for a couple of months I would imagine.

While they have some very good restaurants listed, it’s 100% a DEI prioritized list. Some very good “locally” famous restaurants not represented

Because when visitors come to New Orleans, those are clearly the top 2 cuisines that come to mind.
