Piecing together a Kellen Moore staff.

OC is already extremely obvious with Nussmeier. He’s followed Moore to multiple stops as QBC so that seems done. And his son being in BR I’m sure he’d jump at the job.
What are some other positions and coordinator roles based on Moore’s past associations?
I know I’ve seen a lot of Staley speculation at DC but I’m not sure that will happen.
Anyone off the radar you see at DC that has worked with Moore? What about positions?
A lot of the coaches he coached with in Dallas have gone on to bigger things and are now Coordinators so that’s interesting at least.
Thoughts?

Jim Tomsula
Mike Nolan
Kris Richard
Staley
Known defensive guys who have worked with Moore
I think Nuss is likely OC but here are the known offensive names who could maybe be in play for position coaches. Doubt a guy like Garrett moves off TV but nonetheless
Jason Garrett
Ben McAdoo
Joe Philbin
Chris Petersen
Nussmier
Scott Tolzein

Tomsula has never been an NFL DC and is coaching in Germany. Can’t see that but maybe as DL?
Nolan has been out of the league for a minute coaching in the UFL but maybe if he wants back in as an LBC?
I wonder what he thinks about Christian Parker? Eagles PGC/DBC currently.
Young guy that has earned his way up from defensive analyst at ND and A&M to a defensive quality control assistant in the NFL to DBC with the Broncos and now his current position.
Might be a name to watch.

I’d rather an up and comer than anyone on the past worked with list

Looking into Christian Parker…I’m intrigued. Eagles fans are extremely enamored with him and some see him as their next DC after Fangio.
I get not wanting to pair a young inexperienced DC with a young inexperienced offensive HC though.

If you want to pull from the Fangio tree
Staley
Joe Barry - current dolphin LB coach/run game coord. Was DC in GB ‘21-‘23. 54 years old. 20+ years in the NFL
Sean Desai - current Def Asst w Rams. Was DC in CHI and PHI before Fangio albeit for 1 year at each. 41 years old, was a hot name for a minute

I kind of like Kris Richard. Fiery young guy, has experience under some good defensive systems. Some familiarity with the guys but far enough removed to not have the stink of the previous regime

Richard makes some sense. A lot of experience on some great defenses for only being 45

Flipping from our D to a 3-4 could be a tough transition with our jumbo ends and no 3-4 edge types. If we had Baun, that would be amazing, but...

Will it be awkward if we get the first pick and choose Arch over Garrett?

Never hurts to get some minority hires there in the event they get poached too

Can’t see Manning leaving college until ‘27 anyway. This will be his first year completely taking the reins and being “one and done” as a starter doesn’t seem to be in that family’s DNA.

Either one of those picks will have Rob Parker screaming nepotism.

When Shannhan got hired to SF, he didn’t really bring any experienced coordinators in with him
Mike Lafleur
Demeco Ryans
Robert Saleh (DC)
Bobby Slowik
Mike McDaniel
Mcvay went with Wade Phillips at DC but went with up and comers like
Matt Lafleur (OC)
Ejiro Evero
Zac Taylor
Shane Waldron
More than one way to skin a cat here but casting a wide net on up and comers isn’t necessary a bad thing

Moore can go with young guys at coordinator as long as he gets a couple of veterans like you had with Philbin and Garrett. I know he’d never leave but I’d kill to have Stoutland as our OL coach.
I personally like Parker from the Eagles or Richard as DC.

I agree. He’s being projected as the first pick but the family doesn’t need money so they probably want him to finish his eligibility. He will have graduated though I’m sure. My feeling is if he has a monster year he’ll go. If it’s even just a great year he’ll stay.

I’ve mentioned on here before that I think he makes Christian Parker his DC.
Doesn’t bother me at all. Bring in some veteran position coaches for stability.

Interesting history.
Pettine, Ejiro Evero, Vance Joseph, and Fangio.
That's a lot of varied coaching styles
