I stopped paying a lot of attention to the Saints after the DA hire. I can't explain how disappointed I was at the time of that hire.

The wasting of Kamara's talents the past 3 years has made me want to pull my hair out. You have a generational talent that still had a lot of juice left and because the staff was so inept, he looked like any other late 20s back.

Rizzi getting the nod will keep me checked out. I know, who cares? But it's just a really sad, lifeless decision.

It's not even a question. I said it when Kamara's first contract came up, you keep him at all costs. The same goes here. You hire Moore at all costs. He will take you to a Super Bowl.

That is not happening, RIzzi is already gone, SP hired him at Denver, no way that would happen if he thought he had a shot.

This is your first attempt at writing a fiction short story or you need to stop watching sports altogether bc this is the dumbest take I’ve seen in a while

Dang, guess I'll do just that.

You've convinced me. You writing this post telling someone what to do actually worked. Have a beer!

Ignore that dude. As a long time Saints fan, I can relate. Hiring DA was a questionable move at the time considering his horrendous first performance as a HC.
It was evident pretty early on that the team lacked direction, particularly on offense, once Payton left. I’m grateful DA wasn’t given a 4th season.

I’m a firm believer that some of these guys we keep around way to long, extending and extending them after their prime, I like the New England Patriots way it is better to get rid of somebody When they still got a little left then wait till it’s too late.

Hopefully Moore can come in and push Loomis to clean house and do a reset

Ignore the haters here

I agree with you, we have no choice now but to get Moore.

My question is why did “we” try to hire so many others before him?

I think just another example of the Saints terrible talent evaluation

Now it’s a bad thing that the Saints interviewed multiple coaches? Huh?

19M guaranteed in 2026 is a bit more than all costs considering he’ll be 31. If you had drafted Achane as suggested instead of Miller you may not have had to extend to save face publicly on a great Saints.

Saquon at less than $6M in ‘26 shows how the big boy Super Bowl type franchises are run.

Honestly, that's a Saquon issue. He should have demanded more.

And, I know this is an insane take, but Kamara's overall value at age 27 was higher than Saquon's at age 27.

The league is switching back to Saquon style franchise backs, but the versatility of Kamara can do way more for an offense than stats show. Kamara has a half decade of production left. Saquon will flame in 2 years.

It's about the ability to utilize over the long-term, something the Saints haven't done for nearly a decade.
