Trump knows that this was probably the result of DEI hires in ATC.
He never says this kind of stuff without knowing beforehand.

lol, how is this even possible. Listening to recordings and watching the video, it is obvious that the helicopter messed up bad and caused the accident. They were warned multiple times about the aircraft and either didn't see it or ignored it.
Yet somehow Trump is going to blame this on the ATC. That is messed up for that person who will now get blamed for a helicopter being stupid.

I would hazard to say that ATC aka Air Traffic Control was not effectively controlling the airspace. I'm wondering why the helicopter was allowed anywhere near the flight path of a landing passenger liner.

Maybe ATC should have kept them grounded until the plane landed.

He’s boxing himself in with his comments without knowing who the ATC was or where the fault lies.
What he’s right about however and needs to focus on is the importance of hiring the best people for these roles and if nothing else, all of the FAA’s DEI focus begs the question where their priorities were. THAT is a point to drive home.
