The next 6 basketball games will tell us where this thing’s really headed

Texas, Uga and OU are good but not much better than us. We’re pretty even with Arkansas, OM is good but im still skeptical. South Carolina is awful.
Anything less than 2-4 from this stretch and we are wasting our time. (Asking for 2 wins…could the bar be any lower?)
The stretch after this is brutal.
Let’s see.

I think 4-2 should be the expectation. 2 should be an absolute given.

This stretch is so winnable. We have to win minimum 3 to feel good.

Don’t look at the home stretch.

Expecting 2-4, 3-3 would be nice.
Probably looking at 4-14 in SEC unless they get hot

You gotta be retarded to think in year 3 of the clown show that is CMM, that this program isn’t going anywhere but down the toilet. We MAYBE beat Arky again

definitely some winnable games in that stretch
LSU got a really tough opening SEC schedule and a majority of them on the road

If LSU doesn't win one of the games @ Georgia or Arkansas then it's very hard to see them getting any conference road wins this year with the only two road games remaining after that being @ Miss. St and @ Kentucky. If that happens, McMahon's three year record in SEC road games will be a dismal 3-24. It's really tough to win on the road. Especially in conference play. But you have to win somewhere around at least 40% of those games to really be a contender. 3-24 would equal a 10% winning percentage.
I think LSU is ultimately wasting their time with McMahon even if he's able to get 4-5 wins this season because just like Johnny Jones, even though he was never truly awful (until his final season) you NEVER felt he was going to make LSU a great program. But like you said, the final three home games are Florida, Tennessee and A&M, so if LSU can't win at least two of the home games vs. Texas, Ole Miss and South Carolina, I truly don't see how anyone would be able to think brighter days could be ahead next year (And, no, Sharon Weston Broome supporters, you don't get accolades for winning 6 games next year after only winning 2-3 simply because you are exceeding your own extremely low expectations)

We end the season with 5 straight top 15 opponents. The stretch in the OP is probably our only winnable stretch and we’ll be lucky to break even.
The state of the program is a disaster. 1-6 for January.

It sucks that there is no excitement because the UGA game would be easy to go to.

yall might think im crazy but there is a path to get to 8 conference wins. If LSU can get to 8, I think they will be in the tourney.Still say that this team is not as bad as people are making it out to be. The league is just that tough.

Pretty sure 3yrs of this crap already tells you where it’s headed !!

If they can’t win at least three of those six, he should be fired on the spot.
Otherwise, you’re just accepting that LSU is the toilet of the SEC.

The delusional is real.

In normal times we should win all these games, but this, folks, is the "New Normal"-- known in technical language as F-U-B-A-R.

Going 2-4 against the bottom half of the league is already a waste of time.
