Gotta give us more than a blind link

Lemme help you
My opinion, they're doing just like pistol manufacturers did when they switched to Glock style plastic frames. Cutting their costs but marketing it as an improvement and selling it at the same price as an aluminum hull.
Plastic is much cheaper than aluminum.

There have been plastic boats produced before
Logic and Hog Island. The Hog Island boats are pretty ideal for a rocky river

No experience in boats but uhmw plastic makes much better skid plats than any metal.
The problem is weight. Uhmw plastic skids usually weigh 2-3x more.

HDPE not so useful in really sun lit environment. Had several kayaks that got brittle and cracked. You can weld repair but the repair material has to have the same melt index to adhere. Simple trick, cut unessary trim off boat and. use the trimmings for your weld material

Saw a little skiff parked for sale by the road. Looked interesting. A few days later the same boat was being launched at a local landing. It was plastic and I thought to myself the first stump they hit, titanic. Might have been 12 foot long with a Tohatsu 5.5 I believe. And they wanted to take it to Big Lake.
