Good morning, all.

Read a quick story that kind of surprised me...it said Knicks and others had some interest in Javonte Green. Given that he was, and I don't mean to be disrespectful here, something of a reclamation project and only came off the bench, I didn't think there would be much interest.

Any insight into what he may fetch in the trade market ? If we could get one or two second round picks, I wouldn't hesitate.

As always, appreciate your thoughts an opinions.

Javonte is a very good defensive wing on a minimum deal.

Those usually fetch 2-3 seconds (edit)

Something like that. He's the Pelican most likely to be traded, I'd say. Because, yeah, he can play, and he's on a minimum deal, so he has value.

So who had Javonte Green pulling in more than BI in a deadline deal on their bingo card over the summer lol?

WHAT? Dude, that's absurd. No one is giving up more than a couple of 2nds for Javonte.

He was making a joke. If the knicks want him that’s the value… cough, sips flask.

No, Griff is going to take the best deal that he can get for Javonte. If there is one player to bet money on not being on the roster after the deadline, it's him

And with Murray missing last night's game, he won't get his game's played incentive money this year meaning trading someone like Green can get you under the tax.

And that's good because teams can't use the tax against them for leverage and trying to strong arm the team into a desperate type of deal.

They will need to get some additional cap to sign Boston as he's already close to reaching the limit in the amount if game he can play as a 2 way contract. They probably won't play him anymore until they can convert him.

I believe if my math is right, once we move Green we can pretty much immediately sign Boston to a deal as he would only count against the cap for the remaining games, and we would be around 1.1 million under the tax. He would count as $24,000 per game, so signing him immediately shouldn’t be an issue.
