Bought a Speed Queen washer today

Fitting king size bedding in it was a question. The internet has mixed answers. Even Speed Queen themselves says stick to Queen size bedding in the top loaders.
I brought our biggest king size blanket to the shop and said to the guy, “I need to bring a blanket inside and put it in the washer. If it fits I’ll buy it.”
For the easy sale he said sure. I carried a big arse king size fleece blanket inside and stuffed that bad boy in and it fit with a little room to spare. You can really pack some stuff into that “smaller” tub. They even said thanks for doing that and took pictures to prove it to future customers.
Got delivery set up to join the Crewe of Napoleon.

Well, I have a Speed Queen dryer and when my current washer wears out, I shall then own a Speed Queen washer.

I bought a speed queen a few months ago and love it. A lot of people have had problems with suds coming out the vent pipe with speed queens. I did all the research on the internet but finally decided to call speed queen customer service. They explained what causes the issue and suggested I wash everything on permanent press and I have not had issues since.

I have washed our king comforter in it several times. No problems.
SQ is the only brand still built worth a damn.
It is the replacement for what Maytag used to be.

Go to estate sales. You can find old school Maytags all day long. You’re welcome.

We've had basic model Speed Queens for several years. They work great and don't have a bunch of unnecessary shite. They just clean and dry clothes and they do it well.

I bought a set of SQs a few weeks ago.

I went with a basic Maytag dryer. I see a lot more value in getting a top line washer over a top line dryer. Technically don’t even need a dryer. You can hang your underpants out in the backyard and dry them but you can’t hang them out there and wash them. Ain’t nobody got time for that.
I could buy 3 of these for the price of one Speed Queen dryer so I’m not worried about longevity.

27 in width? I may be in the market in the next year.

Yeah fricking lawyers with their locks and kill switches on washers these days. If a kid is big enough to open the lid and climb up and fall in they’re old enough to know not to do that.

We do our king comforter in ours all the time. It’s a tight squeeze but works fine. Worth the money
