Will the Saints next head coach survive long enough to be with the Saints longterm ?

Unfortunately, I don’t think so.
I believe the rebuild of the Saints with (1) overbearing salary cap restrictions and (2) aging /inferior talent throughout the roster requiring replacement…….. will require about 4 years to address….
Assuming drafting selections goes well …which has not been the case with Loomis in past few years ….and he is not being fired.
I just don’t see the Saints fans enduring another 4 years of losing seasons without a change being made at Head Coach.
Maybe the 2nd new coach following the upcoming new coach…. Minus Mickey Loomis…. Will have a chance at success.

I’m more optimistic. Dennis Allen was the sacrificial lamb with little to no shot to succeed. Loomis tried to save him with the Carr acquisition, but it was too little too late.
Unless this new coach is only given 1-2 seasons, which I think would be stupid, he will have a solid opportunity to make improvements with this draft class and, one would think, another top 10 (maybe 5?) pick next year.
The NFL can turn quickly. We’ve seen it ourselves: both Haselett and Payton had immediate success and inherited stunningly bad teams.

You can do a complete reset in 2 years if you have a draft like 2017 in there.

Unfortunately, I’m thinking we are at a minimum 2 HCs away from the prospects of a long-term guy.
Next guy comes in for 3-5 years to fix the culture, let some aging contracts expire, then ultimately fails. Loomis bringing in another guy that runs with it for a few more years until either Loomis finally retires or the board finally realizes Loomis is the problem

Both were able to draft solid QBs almost immediately. The Saints are probably not in that position right now because (1) they don't want to eat Carr's dead money and (2) the supply of potentially great QBs in the draft (at least this year) seems pretty low.
The Saints would be in a better spot if the GM could have accepted the party was over and started the rebuild two years ago instead of purchasing a mediocre QB they couldn't afford on the credit card

I don’t think Saints fans truly appreciate and understand the true dearth of talent throughout the entire roster.
It’s called Denial, folks.
I don’t care which coach they pick….that coach will not be on the field making plays.
This will take 4 - 5 years to rebuild.
If you think it will be less time with Loomis….
I submit to you review his recent draft picks in the last 4-5 years.

A lot will depend on how the Cap is managed this offseason. However, the Saints could be in very good shape in the 2027 season with loads of cap space and a lot of draft capital.
I know the manager of the cap has not done much to instill confidence so I don't think anything is certain at this point.
IMO a Brady hire is for a long run.
McCarthy hire is likely also a long term hire.
Rizzi, Weaver, Kafka to me all seem like short term hires while hoping you catch lightning in a bottle.
Kingsbury I can't figure out. He's failed as HC everywhere he's been so where is all the optimism coming from on him in the media?
I also think there's a good shot both Kingsbery and Brady stay where their at for the 2025 season like Johnson did last season.

He’s only doing what Loomis is telling him to do.
