Dr. Ron Berry to step down as ULM President

Nine university presidents in less than five years doesn't sound correct.
ETA: I misunderstood the statement in the article. He served as the ninth president of the university, beginning in 2020.
Any idea who might be replace him?

Berry is the 9th president in the history of the school. And will be a great loss.

Damn. Dr. Berry seemed like the right guy for ULM tbh. I thought he was a great president. Seems like his heart is really in teaching though.

I wonder what it's like being the college president of one of these schools. It's probably ok- administrative duties, good salary, and you get a sweet retirement package. You have to manage enrollment and trouble in various programs, and hope your little town doesn't decline too far.
On the other hand there's a job like UNO president. Yikes. I wonder if the current president took the job knowing she's going to have to basically preside over shutting the place down, and will never get to run any college again after this. Maybe they guaranteed her some kind of state retirement deal.

First thing ULM needs to do is change their name to a more nationally attractive name so they can attract a more regionally diverse student population.
