I assume that position is really meant to be a 2-3 year rotation to help former players get their foot in the door on a college coaching staff.
Hopefully Nick can parlay that experience into another job on a different staff

Timing of it seems weird if he was let go today…

I’m sure he can land a HS job around town if he wanted

Unfortunate for Nick, I thought he did a great job in his role
Interested to see who they get to replace him

Interesting
Not really
I know nothing of the situation and can tell you it came down to money, like it always does
I doubt salary, but more so how much he was able to raise
This NIL world we're in now will probably have us using ex-players like cellular service sales. Get as much as they can in as short amount of time as possible and move on to the next

Then quit acting like you know what you’re talking about. 99% sure his job has nothing to do with raising $

Is it the job of the Director of Alumni Relations/High School outreach to raise money? That seems like an Austin Thomas job.
Nick Brossette's job description is below:

In his role, Brossette maintains a relationship with the thousands of former LSU football players as well as serving as the staff liaison with high school football coaches. Brossette is also charged with running the annual LSU Coaches Clinic.

Nick is a great guy. Hate to hear this for him, but he should be able to land on his feet with his LSU connections as a former player and staffer.

My suggestion is probably a better reason than any other that might exist
"Alumni relations" and you think it has nothing to do with money?
Oh, and frick off

Former
@LSUfootball running back Nick Brossette has been let go from head coach Brian Kelly’s staff. Brossette served as Director of Alumni Relations/High School outreach for the past three seasons.
Sorry to see this happen for whatever reason. Brosette was the earlier version of Nussmier. He was a talented back playing behind Fournette and Guice, waited his turn and had a great senior season sharing time with Clyde. Too bad that 2018 was his senior season and he missed the championship run, but he was part of the group which laid the foundation.
