this is their second animated spinoff movie. the first one was good (better than the 2nd and 3rd season of the series)
This one is based on the short story "A Little Sacrifice," and I think will work better as a spinoff movie than it would have as an episode in the show.
Avoid book spoilers if you can
First look at Little Eye

I wonder if this is basically the future of the witcher after they cancel the slow cancerous live action

Been a long time since I read that story...but they amped up the drama factor on it 100 fold

They've already used a lot of the short stories for the live action show but I wouldn't be opposed to them revisiting some of those.

As long as they don't change the ending

I'm still waiting for animated asoiaf but I guess they might as well wait a few years and see if GRRM ever releases another book

I might give it a shot, we stopped watching once Netflix really went off the damn rails with the series

They butchered the hell out of this story. Not only did they expand it, which would have have been ok, they removed stuff from the short story and changed some things as well.
Also changed the entire tone of the story and made the conflict the main focus

That's disappointing, but I'll still probably watch this weekend for no other reason than Doug Cockle returns as Geralt.

Bad news, it's the same people. I've heard this new one is arse like the rest.

Is there a less talented group of writers in Hollywood right now?
I mean these worthless writers and showrunners have an entire series of books to work with and three games to borrow from as well.
Even with all that, Henry Cavill and a huge budget from Netflix they still blew themselves up with an atomic bomb.
It’s honestly an impressive level of incompetence.
