Rapides Parish last day. Have a littke pine woods lease that we normally see a bunch of deer, this entire year has been abysmal. Hoping for a couple does as I have the woods filled with footses, all under orders that anything but spikes is to be shot on sight. Did this last Saturday and not a deer was seen. Sitting w my youngest and he is already snoring. He ain’t the best shot, so if he is out and one steps out I am not even waking him up. Dad of the year stuff.

Box Stand

Went to different stand with 257 but the bolt wouldn’t close with ammo in it. Last hunt I made with it, I shot a doe. Don’t know what this is about.

Anyone else notice that orange moon this morning. I’m 55. It was the brightest orangest moon I’ve ever seen. I was west of Alex about 30 miles and it was really cool

I’ve got a grainy photo taken out my truck window. I’ll try to post it at some point.

Momma foot just shot a doe. Blood and lots of white hair she says. I love briars.

My youngest and I had three but they stayed a little far away. He is on a 125 yard or so limit.
