1980!
I think 78/79 had even better music but I stuck with grad year.

I feel like the whole of my high school years were loaded with great albums. The Wall came out very late 1979. Rumors in 1977. I even discovered thing much later that came out around that time as my musical range expanded. Heck, Motorhead put out Ace of Spades in 1980. I think I figured that out in the last 2 or 3 years.
