Both of these dudes play all out with heart and skill that our best player could give one less frick about displaying

Put Jose's heart in Zion and you get the best player in the league.

Yeah I'm drinking what about it

The whole problem is the coach. Zion is not the only guy in the league that needs a hard nosed coach, problem is the other star player we have/had is to soft to take hard coaching.

Guaranteed if we keep Stan and trade BI and Hart instead of firing him, Zion has a far different career trajectory

Yep! BI got Stan fired. I guess people are correct when they said this is a player driven league

They have been unable to put together the right elements to make rising star Zion Williamson and his family happy, and multiple sources have told The Athletic that certain family members want Williamson on another team.

But for most of this season, certain Williamson family members voiced displeasure with the organization. Among the targets of their criticism was Van Gundy, who they felt was too rigid and demanding as head coach, but also with the organization, which they claim did not live up to what they felt should be the standard for a star like Williamson. Numerous opposing league executives had heard the complaints, and they were confirmed by Pelicans officials.

When the Pels traded J.J. Redick to Dallas in March, it not only upset Redick but also is said to have irritated Williamson.

Redick was a veteran with whom Williamson had grown comfortable in their two seasons together, and the dysfunction Redick accused the Pelicans of harboring is said to have stoked some of Williamson’s own feelings with regards to the direction of the franchise.

Jose is just a winning player man. It’s not a coincidence that he comes back and the team is playing with heart again. You don’t trade a young player like that. It’s a ridiculous notion if I’m David Griffin and preaching culture over and over.

Thinking all we need is a new coach and ALL of our problems are solved is a wild take.

We gotta give CJ the Jrue Holiday treatment now and get him somewhere where he can compete in the playoffs. He's been too much of a pro and doesn’t deserve to waste his last few years at this level of play.

Especially when he only makes 4 mil. There will always be idiots around here trying to trade Jose for no reason.

Depends on the coach. If it’s a name and someone that is respected around the league. Then yea I think a lot of issues get solved.

Dint think if we fired Willie and hired Udoka we’d be on a better path right now?

Or course.

But the post I replied to said the entire problem was the coach which would insinuate everything is fixed by getting a new coach.

That's obviously not the case.

You can have a coach better than Willie, that doesn't fix tte problem of your #1 never being on the court and not being good enough to be a legit #1 when he is on the court, and the same exact statement applying to your #2 as well.
