so you want less games? You think more games is boring? Wow.

Some people need to understand, no matter how many teams you put in, we will always have blowouts. Its always been that way and always will be.

I love the 4 team format, just need to tweak how the seeding is done

This has been a bit underwhelming but let’s do another year before judging. The biggest issue is how they seeded. ASU, boisie and smu should have all been knocked out in first round. Georgia lost its QB. Been a weird year

Wrong - more games is always better. Change the seeding procedure and let this play out a few more years.

Would you still hate the 12-team field if LSU were #11? This echoes of sour grapes to me. I think the playoff has been great. Do they need to tweak a few things like seedings? Yes. But all-in-all, this is an improvement.

No skill position players - 1-18 vs top 5 - they beat no one

CFP Playoff decides this, not the NCAA

NCAA doesn’t control CFP actions. Yes, eight should be the max. Four teams had no business being in the playoffs.

100% yes. 8 teams is the perfect number. There is a large differences in teams 8-12 in the rankings. Those 9-12 teams are good teams, not NC level teams. Personally, I still believe conference championships matter so I’m good with the 4 conference champions receiving auto bids - that does not mean they should be seeded 1-4. Do away with the 1st rd home games. This is the way

If you don’t reward for winning your conference why play them?

8 or 16 would be the number for me. Use their ranking for seeding with bcs computers and a committee. Conference champs not a factor.

THIS!

It was really entertaining watching teams like Indiana and Boise State demonstrate their worthiness of being in the playoffs. Next year, who wouldn’t want to add teams like Memphis, Iowa State, and Illinois to the stage??? Who doesn’t want to watch thrilling matchups between Army and Georgia or BYU and Texas???

Meh….

It’s the first year, there will be some growing pains…

I would like to see them not open the Portal before bowl season/playoffs and work on the seeding process

Nah. They are getting what they planned for,……someone else besides the SEC maybe winning a NC. Still, there is a 33% chance that the SEC wins it again. But I wouldn’t count on Texas representing.

The free agency, NIL, expanded playoffs, is to distribute the talent and create an “equitable” outcome.

IMO the actual result will be loss of viewership, game attendance, and fan support. Give it 5 years. Either the cream will rise or the sport will go the way of the NBA, NFL, and MLB. The regular seasons are almost unwatchable. Quasi fans only pay attention to the playoffs. Fickle at home viewership and support and TV ratings is all that will remain.

I think 12 teams is fine. But I think which 12 teams were selected is flawed. I also didn’t like the seeding or how they did byes. Like a Group of 5 team getting 3rd seed blows my mind. But that’s a whole nother topic.
