ND had an easy path to the CFP this year. They lost to NIU. James Franklin is the most overrated coach there is. PSU should have won this game running away if they had a competent coach.
OSU will beat Texas and then ND. ND defense is good. Their offense is not that good. PSU had too many costly mistakes and Franklin never gets his players up for big games.

Brian Kelly is a great program builder who has never been a great game-day coach, particularly in games against ranked opponents.
Say what you will about the ND schedule, but they were 7-0 against ranked teams. Kelly has never been perfect against ranked teams at the D1 level. Maybe it’s Freeman being a better game coach. Maybe it’s Freeman giving his coordinators more freedom to do their jobs unlike Kelly.

Context matters. When and where you play teams matters. ND got it done. Congrats. They would have not sniffed the playoffs with LSU’s schedule.
