Please, I’m begging you to bring your mom and pop restaurants to the Northshore area. We’re starving for good food over here and no one does it better.

I have had some good meals in Mandeville. You are selling yourself short.

Y'all need some plate lunches?

you must be kidding!
TONS of great food on Northshore, TONS!!!
and I’m from New Orleans and now
living on NS.
but i will admit. it is confusing to
know which ones are great and which ones not so great. but there are PLENTY of QUALITY PLACES.

The seasoning does not belong on the outside of the crawfish!!

Now that part is true. Dusted crawfish is not something I’m a fan of, but Lafayette knows how to do plate lunches

Cant have it all man, NS has the finest strip mall scene this side of Houston. Get some Chipotle and put Tabasco on it.

Strip malls are in Lake Charles, Lafayette, Baton Rouge, and New Orleans.

It’s really aggravating when people say they come to New Orleans for the food. If people only knew to go 150 miles west and the food between Lafayette and Lake Charles would blow New Orleans out the water.

This simple comment just made me say "oof" out loud to myself and my mouth watered.

Now that’s a take.

New Orleans jumped on the Cajun band wagon when they hosted the World’s Fair, and everyone outside of Louisiana mistakenly assumes that’s the place to go to for Cajun cuisine

It’s not a hot take everyone knows the best food in the state is in that area
