it does kinda make it hard, considering they voted for the bullshite that led to this catastrophe! LA mayor, governor of the State, state legislature. All voted in the by the majority, and they make decisions that lead to shite like this. Thing is, this isn't a one off. They've been putting people in office for DECADES that rape them with taxes, give that money away and actually increase the problem they say they are trying to solve. Electrical blackouts, water shortages, zero forestry management, massive homeless problems, and open arms to every illegal alien that comes to our country to prey upon the taxpaying citizen WHILE BEING GIVEN THE TAXPAYERS MONEY!

Until the electorate pulls it's collective head out it's arse, nothing will change. It boggles my mind that a person with the means to leave that State, still chooses to stay there. .

Oh just shut the frick up with this shite already

If you're having a difficult time having sympathy for fellow Americans there is a pretty simple reason why. It's because you're a shitty person.

If this doesn’t change the political climate of California, I don’t know what will.

This shite is insane. No one wants to make it political but you also cant ignore the blatant and obvious FAILURE of the California government, from the Governor’s mansion all the way to local fire departments.

It's important to remember that Trump won hundreds of thousands of votes in the Los Angeles metro area.

I'm particularly sensitive to these kinds of posts as I've lived in nothing but deep blue cities and counties for my entire adult live.

New Orleans
Chicago
Milwaukee
Portland

Plenty of very fine people in every city in the United States with the possible exception of Washington DC.

Nah, he’s right. The is the most egregious form of neglect and breach of the social contract between government and its citizens.

Trump won more votes in that area than in the entire state of Alabama combined

Almost every major city in America is a democratic city

So anytime something bad happens in a big city we just need to all collectively sound like a bunch of retards and say "They voted for this though!"

It's the most juvenile logic of all time

Totally irrelevant to the government of California. They have failed the citizens. And Trump has been warning them about this endlessly for years now.

Looks like the power company wasn't nearly aggressive enough cutting power pre-emptively. The weather forecasts were nearly perfect:

I feel like a broken record but if you still live in a blue state at this point you only have yourself to blame for what inevitably happens.

I am a shitty person, but it is like spanking your kids when they are young. You do not want to do it and feel bad, but it will make your children grow up to be a better persons. We can hope this spanking from mother nature will make Californians be better people.

What about a blue city?

Do you realize what % of America lives either in a blue state or a blue city?

I'd wager the majority of conservatives actually live in a blue state or a blue city

I feel even more strongly that people who live in blue cities are acting in their own detriment than those in blue states.

If you are a conservative in a blue area then you are crazy or too poor to move.
