It’s hard to build a program by signing portal guys with only 1 year of remaining eligibility. Especially not difference makers

Bland personality zero gameplan isn’t exactly what a top notch player wants.

Incorrect. Looked at On3 team rankings for the conference since McMahon has been hired. LSU has not finished lower than 7th in the conference in recruiting and has brought in multiple top 25 classes. Florida has not finished HIGHER than 9th in the conference in that time frame and is ranked in the top 10 and beat #1 Tennessee by 30 tonight. McMahon just isn’t getting it done.

McMahon has actually recruited pretty well. Which leads me to believe the issue is his coaching.

It's hard to build a program when you can't afford to buy any elite portal players in the NIL era.

Is Missouri and Vanderbilt outspending LSU? I mean maybe they are.

Wade would take this roster to the tournament.

So Bailey, Sears and Carter all gone at years end, 3 new starters next year. That’s my point for no consistency. Then the lack of coaching and you get this product

Missouri's starting PF/C Mark Mitchell came from Duke. There's no world where we could afford to sign him in the portal era.

Multiple different players over multiple years. One common denominator. Is the HC just “missing” on numerous players? Or is the HC the actual piece that is missing?

I'm as big a Wade guy as there is, and we need to bring his arse back YESTERDAY.

He may or may not take this group to the tournament. But I'll guarantee one thing: he'd have LIGHT YEARS better talent on the floor than this jackass.

I only see two LEGITIMATE difference makers in the SEC on the roster now and that's Carter and Reed.

Vic Miller will possibly develop into one, but he ain't there now. And maybe the Univ of Richmond kid could be a role player on most sec teams. No way in hell Wade would have this collection of "talent" on his roster at LSU.

Again we're back to not having any talent

Pirate queen, if you can't look on the floor and see that we only have a small number of players on our roster that belong in the SEC, you're blind. I don't care where the classes were rated. That also suggests he can't develop them, which is even worse.

Now there are a couple of freshman who may develop into decent SEC players, but they aren't ready now.

Oh, and this motherflucker can't coach either.

Might I suggest roster construction as a factor as well. Not necessarily the rating of the recruits but the type of recruits not meshing well.

As I've said in 3 different threads this morning, I think toughness has been a big issue in CMM's tenure here - not enough players who can hold their positions, set hard screens, fight off screens, battle under the boards i.e. hold their own physically - it affects everything we do getting outmuscled everywhere on the court.
