If a big state like Florida can do it there's no reason all 50 states can't do it.

I am fine with this, but in reality, not sure this can be done UNLESS the USA makes election day a national holiday. Then it can be organized and planned better. You could have people make appointment like times to come in to vote based on address or last name, etc. to expedite the vote.

Honestly, I'd be OK with midnight in each respective time zone.

This business of counting/creating votes three weeks after election day has to stop and has to stop now.

Amazing that a nationwide lottery selling over a billion numbered tickets can know if there is a winner within minutes of the announced numbers and where the winning ticket(s) were sold.

Or, what? Any non-counted votes after 10 PM won't be included in the total?

I think there are 2 issues here.

The POTUS election which perhaps he could issue regulations since its a federal entity not a state one.

Right now we have states who because all elections are under same umbrella they can manipulate the POTUS election via their state policies.

If he issued federal regulations on POTUS only that takes care of that. And by wanting to be efficient most states would adjust their state election processes to match (not all though).

Where it gets tricky is congress. Since they are repping a district in a state not sure if he can do same but hopefully. States would still decide how to partition districts and would have their same primary system. But since it affects the Fed gov perhaps he can still fix election day.

Thing is, if he can declare all voters for POTUS must use ID, that by default helps down tickets. If you have to show ID to vote for POTUS that means everyone has to show it when they show up.

Mail in ballots need to arrive no later than the Saturday before election Tuesday.

Across the board, zero exceptions.

Then count on Monday, before in person voting. No more 2am box drops. This shite needs to end.
