What do you guys think about McCarthy being coach of saints if fired. Heard on espn, and read on bleacher report and sports illustrated.

That would suck big time. Have you seen Dallas?

I can't stand him. I might stop being a Saints fan if we did this.

Yes. I’ve seen Dallas, that’s why I can’t believe the saints would even consider this. I was just wondering if everyone thought like I did.

Wouldn’t love or hate it. He’s a Super Bowl winning coach. Much better than Dennis Allen and better than Aaron Glenn would be. It will probably been Aaron Glenn to fill the diversity hire for the NFL.

He has more weapons in Dallas and can’t make it work, yet he will come in with this lesser talented roster and work magic? He is beyond his years as a HC.

18 years as a head coach

174-112-2

22 playoff games

11-11

Won the SB with GB in 2010.

you're looking at 7-10 type of seasons with the current roster and cap situation if I'm trying to be optimistic.

I'd take him over Matt Nagy but what is that really saying?

Dude had two hall of fame QB’s and that’s all he could muster. Shitty coach.

I think this is the most predictably disappointing coaching search in a while.

All of the coaches names I’ve heard so far are fricking pathetic

Mickey is doing a great job at making sure we are never relevant again. Sad

Ummm, you forgot about the carousel of coaches Loomis interviewed the last go round before deciding Dennis Allen was his man?

He didn’t interview Harbaugh, Kevin O Connell, Daboll, or Mike McDaniel. All have made the playoffs since he hired Allen…..

Gotta presume that top notch coaching talents are lining up to join such a fine organization in such a lovely city.

Given our current situation, McCarthy would be a pretty good hire in all seriousness. People here act like we’re turning away Ben Johnson or 2004 Nick Saban.

This is not a desirable job. We could do a lot worse than McCarthy.
