Why do passports always survive terrorist attacks?

Vegas:
Cybertruck blasted, becomes an inferno. Passport survives and is perfect, as always when it needs to set a narrative, with a body completely destroyed other than tattoos needed to identify perp. Phone also survives the inferno to allow the FBEye to discover his manifesto.
A Desert Eagle 50 cal was allegedly used in his suicide and falls between his legs after he shot himself. Weird, a DE 50 cal will travel about 50 feet on firing when not hand held. No way that gun falls straight down after firing.

IF the emails shared on the Shawn Ryan show are legit, the guy was supposedly headed to Mexico.

Before or after the suicide?

But decided to stop off in Vegas on his way to off himself. Makes sense.
Pretty serious change of plans.

who said the gun fell straight down? i agree its going to go flying but who knows what it bounced off of - the steering wheel, the roof, the windshield, whatever was left of his dome? oh and there was an explosion seconds after, probably rattled some stuff around
don't care where the gun wound up

FBeye said it was found between his feet. He was still buckled in allegedly. I have not seen pics of this but did read this report.

I posted this the day after they released the findings.
Burned to a crisp ... except the passport, driver's license, and six square inches of an arm with an identifying tattoo on it.
And no self respecting skygod soldier would be caught dead with a Deagle 50 AE as a sidearm.
Not only that, he bought the two firearms two days before the fireworks show ... no way.

right. but just because it was at his feet doesn't mean it fell straight down after he used it. it likely bounced around and then seconds later an explosion
i'd find it far more sus if it was in his hand. just as likely at his feet as in the passenger floorboard

This thing has 3 uses:
Elephants
Bears
Piss off your friends at the range that don’t know what it is!

It’s a terrible sidearm.

This guys makes a pretty compelling argument against those “emails”

He was on leave from Germany so likely just had it with him. Especially if he left knowing he wasn’t going back to his wife.

ABC
All I’ve seen say the about the same thing with gun found at his feet. This one says this:
“ An active duty Army soldier, Livelsberger shot himself in the head prior to the explosion and a gun was found at his feet, according to Sheriff Kevin McMahill of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.”

Me almost all the time, especially when traveling for work. I can be sent overseas at any time.

I only get my passport out when going on an international trip. Not sure why this guy was carrying his in this situation.
