For those of us who had the privilege of being a teen during these times what was “the” vehicle you always wanted/had back in the day?

Thought these would have been cool to have back in the day. You never seem to hear anyone talk about them.

Buick GNX was pretty badass in its day.

Was there another car whose interior defined the 80’s more than this?

I had a 1992 yr model single cab. Bought after graduating high school.

ETA: similar to this but mine was charcoal gray. Had the same BFG A/T tires and aluminum rims.

CJ’s, Honda Preludes, 5.0L Mustangs, 3 series BMWs, 280/300ZX, Supras, Toyota 4x4s, high level Nissan Maximas, full size Broncos and Blazers, and many others were all considered “cool cars” by high school kids in the late 80’s. Suburbans weren’t as common as today and kids would use their parents for the ultimate road trip vehicles. Some of these cars were more expensive than others, but overall there was more interest in cars then.

This thread. If a manufacturer would just make anything remotely close to these vehicles they would print money and there would be a lot of happy people.
