Gonna buy 4 cameras with cellular feature.....what is best brand to buy?
I have been reading for hours, and want to hear what you fellas say.
TIA!

What is the average battery life with no solar power....
and will the solar power work in partial sun, or very little sun?

We had Spartan for a couple years but kept having trouble. Now we’re using Reveal Tacticams and they’ve been great

The Reveal is my first choice at this point, thanks!!!

Have you tried the solar panels.....are they worth fooling with? I can't see too many places where my cameras will see direct sunlight.

WiseEye has my business for life. From customer service on an early Saturday morning, cameras, and app technology. I’ll keep my money in Louisiana for a small business that’s worth it to me.

I like the Tactacam, that’s what I personally use, but feel like the app/website could be better.

We have Stealthcam for the camp, I think the app is a little better, picture quality isn’t as good either but also the cameras seem like they are more trouble as far as connections go.

If I were to start over I would probably go with Wise Eye

I run 15 to 17 cams year round and 13 are Tactacams with solar panels and internal battery packs. The other 2 are Stealthcam and when they shite out I’ll be moving to tacatcam.

I’d love to try the wise eye cams but I get 2000 pics a day and their plans are way too expensive unless you have a ranch package.

I hate the Stealthcam app. I can’t figure out have to save photos and it’s super easy to create a gallery on tacatcam. I used to be able to on the Stealthcam but since the update I haven’t tried to figure it out.

Folders are great on the tactacam app, I would like a favorites button though.

We have 7 cameras between 2 properties as a camp. I go through and favorite the ones I like and every few days to a week or so and purge the hundreds of mostly coons, does, rabbits, squirrel pictures, using the star (favorite) as a guideline

I would like the ability on the reveal app to show more than 2 pics at a time.

ETA: with that said, the web browser on both are superior to the app.

I’ve had great luck with the Moultrie Edge cameras. Going on year 4 with the 3 I run and no problems

Tactacam is what we use and couldn’t be happier. The new ones come with memory and sim already installed so there’s nothing else to fool with. Have about 20 of them now and not a single dud.

The solar panels are absolutely worth it but they need direct sun unless you delay sending photos to save battery. If you don’t have direct sunlight, make up an external box with a 12v feeder battery and a cord from herd 360. Either option will pay for itself in AAs.

We have six Spartans that have been in the field for six years. Never brought them in.

They are on solar with 12v batteries.

Very minimal issues

Decent customer service

That being said, if I had it all over to do again, I’d go with WiseEye because the quality is similar, but WE will have better customer support and they are local.

Why is customer service so important?

Because if you’re 2+ hours away from your cameras, your time available for troubleshooting is precious. If my window closes by Spartan saying “we’ve received your ticket” I have to bring that camera home. Then back.

Not a huge deal but can be a pain in the arse.

I have two Spypoint out and was OK with them, but they have both stopped sending pictures.

They've been out since September and show (1) 90% signal, 47% battery 29GB SD card space left / (2) 100% signal, 86% battery 30.48 GB of space.

These are 4 hours away and there's no way to fix them remotely

Same S^&t happened last year, they just quit working.

SO I would suggest stay away from Spypoint

You’re not wrong and I’ve never used a wise eye to say, but I just went and counted every Tactacam that is either on my account or shared with me, and the final tally was 44 cameras. Of that total, I have never heard of or had an issue that a fresh set of batteries didn’t fix. The best customer service department is one I never have to call.

I have the Tactacam 3.0 cameras and really like them. The app isn't great but it takes great pics/videos.

I have 4 Wise Eye Data Cams. This is year 2 and I have been pleased so far. They are based in Denham Springs so it’s a plus to be able to go in and talk to someone if you have a question.

We have solar panels on them, most of which are in the woods where they didn’t get sunlight until the leaves were off the trees, and several still get indirect light at best. All of them show full battery still. So I would say the panels appear to have been very effective.

Picture quality, reliability...I don't think you can beat Tacticam.

I'm running Coverts at the moment because that's what I got as Christmas gifts. They're fine. They're 5 years old. Picture quality is just not as sharp as the TRs or Cuddebacks.

I second this. I don’t know how they compare price wise and don’t care. Great customer service in the few instances I’ve needed. I have cameras 4 years old now. They still work great. I will be adding another one next time they have a sale.
