He’s averaging 11/3/1 on ghastly 35/32/86 splits. 49%TS

He’s been passed up in the rotation by 2-way player Brandon Boston.

Terrible defender, can’t dribble, and can’t playmake. Can’t even shoot the ball well which was the only reason we drafted him in the first place.

Safe to say he’ll be out of the league very soon if he doesn’t turn it around.

Right now he feels like a guy who will be a useful rotation player--for some other team.

Pels do not do a good job developing players or realizing their full potential. Hawkins is a movement shooter who needs steady minutes to settle into his role. We aren't going anywhere this year. He should be getting 20-25 minutes a night, minimum for the rest of the season. If he doesn't show anything by then, you can start to worry. Willie's got the kid looking over his shoulder all the time to see if he's being benched...

The exact reason why Dyson couldn't fully develop.

He’s really bad. Maybe send him to the G league for the rest of the year

I’ll never forget rookie Dyson missing two free throws in crunch time against the lakers (Matt Ryan 3 over Trey game). Willie went from giving him major minutes a couple games into the season to benching him for months. Completely killed his confidence

Yeah, i understand Willie is playing the guys he thinks will help him win, but at this point why? He has to know he won’t be here past this season, they need to give him a mandate to play the young guys or hit the road now

The guy started the season super hot then hurt us back which is a chronic injury . His not 100 percent and I can imagine a lower back injury for a shooter would be hell . His a rhythm guy so much so slight lingering pain will put him off

Yeah he was playing well before the back injury. He should be playing regardless for development purposes.

I wish I never had to hear his name again. Look at the all talent he's wasted!

You can tell hawk has “it” though. The way he plays/shoots reminds me of a Tyler Hero or Norm Powell.

I agree his back injury is probably really limiting him. His FT percentage is too good for his shooting splits to be so terrible. We need to be giving him minutes. Look what happened once we did for Trey.

I still think he's dealing with the lower back injury. And I think it's something he'll be dealing with the rest of this season. Not shocking to see him not playing well if that's the case.

Watch this guy put up a shot vs watching Dyson or Javonte green putting up a shot.

He’s much more fluid, has better body control and balance, and much more confident.

I’m not really ready to give up on Hawkins entirely. I’d like to see him get some more run but I do think the back injury probably stunted his development. Hes still on a cheap contract at this point.

Yet the ball doesn’t go in the hoop which means so much more for Hawkins than guys like Dyson because Hawkins gives you literally nothing else on the court. At least if dyson’s shot is falling, you’re still getting elite defense, good rebounding and passing.

You grow into getting less streaky. That’s my whole point. He needs to be getting minutes if we want him to get there before his extension is due.

Look at Monk, Herro, Powell.

I think his floor is Alec Burks at worst.

He doesn’t shoot the ball well enough for a guy who doesn’t really do anything else well.

This means absolutely nothing. Ball either goes in or it doesn’t, and in Hawk’s case, it’s not going in all that much.
