But, they need an extra day off on Monday to get ready to return back to the classroom!

My daughter started back today which I thought was odd but it basically got the kids back into school flow before really starting Monday.

They really should just give them until February. That way they are REALLY prepared for the kid’s return.

I don’t have kids, but I honestly can’t imagine how parents manage to juggle work when there are so many unexpected school closure days.

From what I’ve seen on Facebook, a lot of parents weren’t even aware of this particular day off, and they’re frustrated about having to miss work to stay home with their kids—especially when school was supposed to resume as normal.

Apparently, this kind of thing happens a lot, where the school district decides last-minute to switch to virtual school for a day. It’s no wonder so many parents are upset - but, they gotta' make the teachers happy!

Wait till next week, the young ones will be back in class for a day or two and then they will cancel school or delay take in times for the Sneauxmageddon.

Last year after Christmas kids here had a 1/2 day bc it was windy in Knoxville, followed by 9 snowdays.

My kids are private and they go back on Tuesday........that is assuming they don't cancel due to the weather.

Teacher is the second hardest job behind "full time mommy." Give those heroes all the days they need

My wife and I often wonder how an average family does it. Luckily I work from home, so if there’s a last minute school closure often times I just figure it out, but if we both had to go into an office it would be a shite show.
