Dude is trying to single handedly mess up the tank.

Don't worry, if we ever get healthy(lol I know) you can guarantee he's going right back to the bench in favor of BI, who won't even be here next season.

Yall are witnessing one of the best tank jobs in NBA history. Trey can’t do anything to mess it up.

Ingram is a much better basketball player than Trey Murphy.

Cooper Flagg isn’t generational like the media is trying to push him to be .. dudes numbers in college are average he’s not even top 20 in scoring I don’t get the hype

He supposed to be a senior in HS but reclassified. Just turned 18 2 weeks ago. He did well on the USA select team. Reminds me of Siakam

Siakam isn't generational. I agree with his point. Flagg certainly has game, but he doesn't jump out to me as an organizational savior. Hell, he isn't even a consensus #1 overall at this point.

Frankly, I think the way Zion was handled tells me that the generational talent model is unlikely to work in New Orleans, because generational talents will always want to go to a big media market. It's destined to fall apart. Team needs to switch to a balanced-roster approach and build that way. Trey and Herb still have a lot of value in that scenario, but you still have to have a couple of high-end starters to compete. They need to be fairly versatile players that don't restrict what fits around them like Zion does.

What's your point? Or more to the point, what does that have to do with my point?

We're 5-28. Ingram won't be here next season.

Trey is emerging. We've never used him correctly.

There is quite literally zero reason to start BI over Trey. "BI is better" is not a logical reason because...see above.

Trey since 12/8, the day after BI got hurt:

- 9th in the NBA in points per game

- Averaging 10.1 drives per game. For reference,BI averaged 12.3 before he got hurt

- 6.1 potential assists. For reference, BI averaged 9.6 potential APG

This is all on 10 touches less per game than BI

Now compare it to Zion, since he's playing the 4, like Zion does, not the 2/3, like BI does.

Trey should be our starting 4.

quote:

Before Brandon Ingram essentially shut down exploratory trade talks between the Jazz and Pelicans because of his unwillingness to re-sign in Utah long-term, the two teams kicked around the concept of John Collins heading to New Orleans as part of a trade package along with unspecified draft pick compensation, league sources told HoopsHype. However, talks ultimately fizzled before getting serious, with Ingram unwilling to commit long-term to Utah

quote:

Reportedly, teams like the Sacramento Kings and San Antonio Spurs have inquired about Ingram, while the Golden State Warriors have also expressed interest. However, ESPN’s Brian Windhorst and Tim Bontemps highlight the challenges of finding a suitable trade partner willing to meet Ingram’s contract demands while offering the Pelicans the type of assets that could help them retool in a post-Ingram era.

Any trade involving Ingram would likely focus on acquiring draft picks and/or young players who can develop into strong role players. For the Pelicans, the choice is clear, make the trade or risk letting him walk in free agency for nothing. At worst the Pelicans could arrange a sign-and-trade deal after the season to secure more money for Ingram as he heads to his next team.

Move BI right now since it sounds like they can't agree on an extension.
BI to Hornets for Bridges, Richards, our own 2025 2nd back, 2026 second, and 2027 Dallas 1st.
or
BI to Spurs for Keldon Johnson, Champagnie, Tre Jones, 2027 ATL 1st, Charlotte 26/27 2nds.

Those are similar to what Siakam was traded for as an expiring.

I dont really want Bridges or Johnson but they are needed as salary filler, so move them in the offseason. Neither of them can shoot the 3.

quote:

The Golden State Warriors are reportedly a “logical fit” for Williamson, per MacMahon and Marks. With $40 million in expiring contracts, three first-round picks, and young players like Jonathan Kuminga and Brandin Podziemski, the Warriors could put together an intriguing package. Williamson’s ability to dominate as an interior scorer and rebounder would add a new dimension to Golden State’s offense, though his health would still be a major concern.

I'd send Zion to them right now if they were offering Kuminga and 3 1sts. Hell I'd do it for Kuminga and one 1st.

Kuminga isn't a bad get. He really wants to be the guy and get away from gsw. The shooting is really frustrating though.

He is also up for a contract and wants a ton of money.

Coaches don't tank unless they have strong organizational support, so Willie is going to play the players that give him the best chance at winning. I'm not sure what's controversial about this.

Again you're not making sense.

If you have a point, go ahead and make it.

So you're just speaking nonsense.
