It’s that time of year again boys - share any gaming related gifts you receive here.

I have one or two things I might get - GamePass with COD and Indiana Jones has lessened my desire for something new to play but curious to see what I get.

Awesome thread. Thinking about buying Star Wars Outlaws for sale on PS5 pro. Anyone played?

Debating on buying a new gaming laptop with some Christmas money I got. My Lenovo Legion crashes every thirty minutes when playing. Really want a gaming laptop that can play Xbox games such as Starfield better on my TV. Any recommendations would be highly appreciated.

Everyone knows better than to buy me gaming stuff as gifts. Unless it is a XBox Gift Card.

Because if I really want a game I just get it

picked up slay the spire (i know late on this one but what a great game) and thronefall. thronefall is a badass castle defense game that gets hard as shite if you start playing with the modifers and such. both games i paid less than 20 total

I would wait until Nvidias new 5000 series GPUs release. The laptop variants should release around next month or I believe.

Depends on the model and GPU you go for.

A 5070 laptop will probably be around $1,200- $1,500

A 5080 laptop will be $2k+

Great game. I've been playing it for years on my phone with Game Pass on the cloud. Somehow never gets old. I hope they can recapture that with the sequel.

Big thing in our house this year is everyone is getting new cell phones, myself included. Middle child is getting a cell phone for the first time and the rest of us are past due for an update. Getting youngest a toy phone.

For gaming loot, my fam is getting:

Wife: Zelda Echoes of Wisdom
Oldest: Sonic X Shadow Generations and $10 Xbox Cash for Bendy and the Dark Revival (currently $7.50 on the Xbox store)
Middle: Let's Sing 2024 and $10 Robux
Youngest: Princess Peach Showtime! and $10 Minecoins

ETA: I don't really buy games for myself because of Game Pass. I'll get the Elden Ring expansion at some point but there's nothing else out there that interests me right now that isn't on Game Pass.

I’m cheap. I bought my son two copies of Madden 25 (one for each house) and Forza Horizon 4 ultimate. I received a panicked text from the ex wife last week, “Does little Lemmy have an Xbox series X?” I knew immediately she bought him a copy of NCAA 25 which he can’t play on an Xbox One, lol.

I got a new 34" curved monitor. (LG 34GN850-B)

First time with a curved monitor, so a bit of adjustment but I've been happy with so far. I'll get a few things more tomorrow, so fingers crossed.

Not all curved monitors use the same radius, and it makes a difference. Once I picked up my current 49" 1000R Samsung, I don't think I could ever use anything else.

A buddy of mine has a 1500R and I immediately feel the difference and feel disgust, lol.

Alright boys - presents are opened

As I said with GamePass I don’t buy as many games but my brother and I always find something to get each other and this year it’s WWE 2k24. Haven’t been into wrestling games in a long time but curious to see how this goes

Wife got me an updated Backbone since I have a iPhone 16 and no longer lightning port.

Looking forward to getting on Black Ops and College Football tonight and harvesting some

I got 4 Pokemon booster boxes. Going to start buying a few per year and my son and I are going to open them when he is 6-7. Gonna be hard to resist opening them until then.
