Backup QB's can't fully develop if they don't get into the game and get playing time. And I'm not talking about with 1 minute left. Nuss is not going to go Alpha to Omega in 2025. We're going to need to see what Hurly and the new transfer can do before SEC action starts.

The coaches see the guys every day in practice, they aren’t going to play inferior players meaningful snaps to satisfy fan curiosity.

Terrible news for Hurley since he has been on campus since middle school,

The MSU transfer started 9 games and was better than mediocre so the backup is not without some experience. He just needs some integration into the system in spring practice and summer drills.

They can play early next season against Louisiana Tech and Southeastern before SEC starts.

Kinda makes one wonder how Nuss developed into the alpha…

I believe he is saying there is no way Nuss makes a giant improvement in 2025.

Because that would be unheard between year 1 and year 2 from a kid with the physical ability he has.

Daniels, and Burrow say hello. Some people just don't understand development. Nuss is gonna be one of the best quarterbacks in the country next year. He starts in any and all meaningful situations.

The transfer portal is doing its best to make sure back up qb is thing of the past. Why sit if another school albeit a smaller program will give you playing time and cash. Who’s saying no to that deal??

Colin Hurley is a true freshman, who will develop and mature into a great QB at LSU if he stays. Nuss stuck around and he is now a Heisman contender next year and a lock for the NFL draft. Hurley and Van Buren will learn and grow.

No need for Hurley to start the bowl game. Frankly that would be dis-respectfull to Nuss.
