Any word on Harold Perkins?

Rumor is the announcement will come soon that he is returning. Based off draft grades he has gotten he is likely a 2nd night guy, maybe falling to 3rd night.
He will be replacing Burns at the STAR position for next year.

He's a tweener coming off a season ending injury. This doesn't surprise me. He needs to be Jabrill Peppers.

Micah is much, much bigger and longer. He can take on OTs. Perkins needs to be used like Jabrill Peppers was at Michigan. A real swiss army knife that often lined up at SS/NB, but occasionally linebacker. He started as a cornerback so slightly different background, but I think their skillsets and size are similar.

In any other circumstance I'd agree but he's been all over the NIL/portal stuff and even Shea says that Moscona has a great feel for what is happening on that front. Scone has a sauce inside and so far he has been spot on.

I used to say the same thing until I realized Perk is not as strong as Micah. Micah consistently abuses O-linemen while Perk is getting ragged doll by them. IMO, Perk will be an effective pass-rusher next to the new DE portal additions.

I would also point to the fact that they had literally already moved him there prior to his injury this last year. Against UCLA he was literally playing star with Penn & Weeks at Mike & Will.

I don't think people on here appreciate how good Perkins is and how good the defense can be if he comes back.
