Michael Penix Jr. looked pretty solid today

For his first NFL start, he did as good as I thought he was going to do. Nothing flashy, but he looked like a veteran QB out there - Yes, I know - it was the Giants but I was very pleased with his game today.
The Falcons' receivers dropped 3-4 perfectly thrown balls and the INT really wasn't an INT
I think this kid has a very bright future and from what I have heard, he is like a sponge where he soaks in every ounce of information he can. He seems to have a good head on his shoulders.
Overall, I am going to give his first NFL start a B+ and the Falcons pretty much dominated the entire game so I would say his first start was a huge success.

He should be allowed to kick Pitts in the nuts for that INT.

Good move by the Falcons to let him sit and learn behind a veteran QB like Cousins.

Considering that Cousins just relocated his family to Atlanta - the only reason he wanted to play in Atlanta is because his wife grew up here and pretty much demanded that he landed in Atlanta
I think he should take some kind of pay cut and become like a QB coach for the Falcons or something. I just can't see him playing at a high level anymore like his past years and I would be shocked if another team picks him up with that contract

I remember Steve Walsh of the Saints 1st game,he beat Cleveland and
looked like an all pro. That was the last time he looked good.Once other DCs
get film they will exploit any inconsistency. Derek Carr looked like a HOFmer
the 1st 2 games this year.

The Falcons are going to cut him so the contract's not going to be an issue. And there's going to be a number of teams like the Jets, Titans, and Raiders looking for stopgap QBs next year. Tennessee would be an excellent option if he and his wife want to stay in the south.

They aren't moving out of Alpharetta (which is where they live and his wife was born and raised)

What defense exactly? Dexter Lawrence is out. The only one worth mentioning is Brian Burns. Thibodeaux is non existent. Their linebackers and secondary are garbage.

He looked good but it was against the Giants so let’s wait and see

This. He played well, and definitely within the gameplan. His passes had more zip on them than Cousins has been able to generate since the bye.
It's a shame about Cousins overall, though. He played so well in the first half of the season, it was as if the Falcons really had something cooking. But man, his body just outright broke down. Never seen anything like it, during the course of a single season without a catastrophic injury.

I would look good against the Football Giants. Let’s see him do it against a NFL team.

He is the laziest football player I have seen since Albert Haynesworth

A 36 year old coming back 10 months after an Achilles tear seems awfully quick and it showed on the field. He has never looked comfortable on his plant leg, even when he was throwing for 509 yards against Tampa Bay earlier this season.
