Man I’m sitting on the tee box at 8 even thinking “this is crazy, I’m gonna shoot par!”
And went bogey then double.

Now I wanna break 80 for real.

Webb tiny push-up greens are tough to score on imo.

Stop adding up your score while playing. Just write the number and play the next hole

Glad someone said this. I play Webb a lot and rarely hit half the GIR. It looks so easy but those greens are small and slightly elevated- if you miss, you are pitching off deadpan and one slight mistake can send your ball across the green to the other side for more shithousery. Still, I can’t quit Webble.

Been there, done that. Hard not to look ahead. Gotta just focus on the next shot and be surprised when you add the score up at the end. Much easier said than done. 39 ain't nothing to sneeze at though.

Is that “hardpan” but dead grass?

Good term.

I often putt off deadpan.

I hate “bird nest” lie next to green.

Gotta do it on a real course. People that say their “career lows” come from a Mickey Mouse course that tips out at 6300 yards or something similar is comedy to me.

Glad to bring laughter to the world because my personal best will likely come from less than Mickey Mouse yardage. Maybe even Daffy Duck yardage.

The last thing golf needs is more people “playing the tips.”

A majority of golfers would enjoy the game more if they moved up a tee or even two.

You don't get more points for teeing off further back. At the end of the everyone on here is a mediocre at best amateur.

Ok hardo. Gotta do in in tournament golf on championship courses with a tip and tuck set up to really count.

I guess if you’re a child with no self control, then yeah, it’s easier said than done

Would be impossible for me to do imo. Started playing competitively in 7th grade I think and it's pretty much taught me to keep track of every person you're playing with score just as a natural part of the game. Rarely even use a score card when I'm playing by myself.

I’m glad that you are locked in Scottie.

Watching you on this heater has been amazing.

Criteria:

1. Course has hosted a Major Championship since 1997.
2. The tips. Must inform superintendent that you need everything they’ve got yardage wise. If you go to Beth Page- it’s 7500+ or round does not count.
3. Maximum tough pins. No muni setups.
4. You have to walk and wear pants. If you don’t, you are just a ragamuffin pretending to play real golf.
5. Must have a caddy. A real stick has a man. Be a man or don’t tell us about your “personal best.”
6. A gallery must follow you. It has to be witnessed.
7. You do not get the first tee time.
8. You have to do press afterwards.
9. You need a courtesy car to shuttle you back and forth.
10. You have to play with 2 other players that you may or may not know at all.

Yeah, it’s an amazing feat to be able to just not add up your score until the end of the round. I hope you’re competent enough at some point in your adult life to be able to pull it off

It’s good to have your support.

All of us could learn from your example.
