Frank Borman, Jim Lovell, and Bill Anders began their journey to become the first men to orbit the Moon on this day 56 years ago.

In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.

Is that because the Earth is flat?

Earthrise From The Moon

I believe we went, but no it isn't. That pic has been colorized and reoriented to make it more commercially appealing.

I was 8. I remember following this intensely.

For the benefit of my down voters, here is the original pic.
As is obvious, they rotated the image, increased the size of Earth, and enhanced its color for the distribution version.
Hardly a felony, but they did.

Not sure if serious? It was the command the first time humans left earth orbit and arguably as big as the moon landing it self

Def not serious.
Trans-Lunar Insertion was also the title of my sex tape.

My earliest event memory as a wee lad, a toddler, was watching an Apollo eleven parade in the streets of Guam .i think they put Armstrong on a water buffalo at one point. Seriously

I think you mean trans-lunar injection. The term you are mixing it up with is "lunar orbit insertion."
