J6 Committee protection, GONE. cut out a state department agency associated w censorship

Trump did nothing. Freedom Caucus and some alt media people got this going. Trump was a late arrival.

Congress still got a 10% raise via the lodging and food money reimbursement, which requires no record keeping and thus means there are effectively no rules.

There was talk about the censorship money in the bill that got the axe - I hope that is true, but I suspect the normal amount of reprogramming powers will keep that funding line intact, and I'd like to see if they amplified an account for another purpose that comes under reprogramming, where the funds will be diverted to censorship or another nefarious purpose. When bills get written and changed and voted on this quickly, they have people behind the scenes that know all the budget lines and charts for reprogramming and they just manipulate things on the fly.

Of course, some people here think the rest of us don't understand how any of this works. We're just a bunch of heathens that get around on the back of a turnip truck.

As a spending line this is not worth worrying about.

Unless we want only want a permanent elite class of rich connected people running for Congress we have to make it sustainable for people without generational wealth to run for office.

These types of initiatives are my primary concern.

Even when something gets “cut”, if it’s pre-funded for 4 years before it disappears it isn’t gone and democrats in all agencies are doing exactly that with pet projects to “Trump Proof” the government before he takes over.

I don’t expect a single budget bill with a razor thin majority in the house to address every single issue, but I hope that attention was paid to what is being done as we speak to sabotage Trumps efforts to bring the government to heel before he even takes office.

Hopefully with AI to strip the bill down to its actual functional actions there is less room for dirty tricks and pork, but the fact that the entire freedom caucus with whom I almost always end up agreeing with were universally opposed to the bill and so many democrats voted for it makes me highly suspicious that this was basically kicked down the road so Trump could start his term without having the debt ceiling issue hanging over his head regardless of what poison pills it might’ve contained.

Trump did nothing huh? Oh he just made Elon and Vivek head of DOGE who threw the fricking hammer down on this Democrat deep state bullshite bill - but trump didn’t do Jack shite!

OMB can only reprogram carryover funds within an agency from one fiscal year to another, as long as the (bill) language providing those funds does NOT have a “remain available until expended” tag.

OMB has the power of the Budget, Congress has the power of the purse.

All the constant nauseating regurgitating rhetoric from the left since 2016 about Trump and no one is above the law, yet they consistently taking steps to protect themselves from the true crimes they have committed…
