Dec 26-Jan 2 is for being lazy. Been getting the work done now so I can do nothing after Christmas. It’s been a refreshing change of pace. Christmas tree will come down this weekend. Outside lights started coming down today. I have the backyard to finish up tomorrow.

So you’re going to wake up Christmas morning to nothing?

Shite as a single man I’d have a tree up till the Super Bowl, my last Holiday for a lot of years.
Love lights and stuff being up.
I’d do it year round if my HOA didn’t rule the planet.

Garbage men don’t pick up trees on the curb until Jan 4-5..would rather it in my house than on my lawn. Although last year, some dude in a pickup stopped and scooped up my tree before the garbage men could get it..

Well to be fair we put up our Christmas lights the first week of October so I’ve gotten a chance to enjoy them more than most.

Christmas doesn’t officially start until a Christmas Day. Have you ever heard of the 12 days of a Christmas?

What a weird post
You do you, man.
Ho ho ho! Please post pics of your Christmas tree on the curb on Christmas morning — with timestamp.

Nothing should come down before Epiphany. Then it’s time to put up Mardi Gras decorations.

Friend,
Liturgical Christians should have Christmas decorations up from December 25 to January 6. The Advent season is one of waiting and preparing, not celebrating. The Christmas season which is soon upon us will be for singing Joy to the World! And lights!
If near Chicago, let me help do your decorations next week. We sadly land there for our first Christmas in that miserable city thanks to family matters. At least we have reservations at The Walnut Room and Mariposa.
Yours,
TulaneLSU
