Let's talk about crushes

Who was your first? Tell us about him/her, how you met, what happened, etc.
My first was a fellow trumpet player at band. She was 16, I was 14. I'd sat next to her for a year before I finally worked up the courage to speak to her. She was a ton of fun to talk to and was really nice. She had great tone quality, so I was impressed by that.
I never hung out with her outside of band. Eventually she graduated (from the organized homeschool band lol) and moved away.
They say a little piece of your heart is lost forever to every person you love or have a crush on. As a young man, my experience in romance is very limited, but I know I'll never forget that blonde trumpet player, as cheesy as that may sound.
So, what about the rest of the fine people on tO-T Lounge? What's your story?

Thanks for reminding me of the pain

I guess I'm not a romantic. My current girlfriend is honestly the first time I've ever been in love. Lots of girls I was very attracted to but personality and morals goes a long way with me.

Love and crush are two different things, but that's cool.

I didn't want to have sex with her at all.
"Organized homeschool band" means a band composed of homeschoolers who get together to do band.

That joke was also on page 1 in this same thread in the SEC OT.

All I could think of past this point was "this one time at band camp" and then I couldn't take the rest of the post seriously.

Yep. Unfortunately, the OT is a lot less active than the Lounge, so I figured I'd see if I could get more responses over here.

Well, it doesn't die, but it does stay with that person forever.
That's why monogamy is good (besides the whole God commands it thing).

Girl I was 100% friend-zoned by. Granted everyone was. She came from a very religious family and was only ever going to get married to someone within their tight knit group. Never dated anyone while in high school, even within the religious group. Valedictorian, very pretty, friendly and we got along very well. We were relatively close within school, but no one outside of that religious group really got to hang out with her outside of that.
Kept in touch sporadically while in college then out of the blue got an update from her that she was married. We were like Junior's in college. I had gotten over it by then, but remember I was studying in the library on campus and just packed up and went to the bar with friends. Was never something that was going to happen, but still kind of stung when I found out she got married.

2nd grade. Megan. She hated me and liked my friend. I told the friend we're going to fight for her. Three days in a row after school I met him on the street going to his house. I think it ended up just being three wrestling matches.
Third grade, she hated me even more. Nothing but dirty looks from her. She even told the teacher I was cheating when I wasn't.
Fourth grade, at the very end of the year she told me she liked me but was moving. Her new school was about ten miles away.
Sixth grade. She was gone but I convinced our principal to start up a sixth grade basketball team and play against Valley View, at their place. We got our arse kicked and she didn't show up
P.S. Megan if you're reading this I still have the hots for you!
